Ok, i really don’t mean to rub it in but we’ve had the most amazing weather here in Miami, lately. With the record breaking high temperatures we had during March, we were way over-due for the cooler temps that have arrived, if only for a short time.
Tonight it’s expected to get down to the low 50’s and tomorrow a perfect 80 degrees. Perfect “leaving the windows open” kind of weather! For me, this weather brings a certain energy along with it…makes you want to, um…well…BLOG! ha ha…
Oh, and take pictures….but, of course!
Here are a couple of shots i took this evening with my iPhone, just as the sun was setting. You can see the waxing crescent moon at 12% of full and a very clear Venus, off to it’s right. Click here to read more about the Moon and Venus conjunction.
Clear skies, cool breezes and celestial treats…it doesn’t get much better than this, folks!
I want the moon and the stars and the whole nine yards...
Moon and Venus Conjunction, what's your function?
Speaking of numbers…only 45 minutes left for me to post something! Unfortunately, i’ve been so busy this week that i didn’t have time to take any new photos. So, here’s an oldie (taken with my Blackberry, so excuse the poor quality).

After watering the plants this morning…
H 2 to the O
I’m a big fan of antiques and all things vintage. Just always had an appreciation for old furniture, clothing, jewelry, pictures….and now cameras. It’s funny and so true how “everything comes back”. What was once popular, will most likely regain it’s popularity maybe as much as 20 or 30 years down the road. Hmm… i would have to say the one item i was happy to see make a “comeback” from my childhood would definitely have to be the “Cabbage Patch Kid”. I remember being about 8 years old when i first adopted little Melissa Danielle (brunette/brown eyes) and Sara Laurel (blonde/blue eyes). I still have those dolls…
So, back to the old school cameras…there are SO many different options available. Any suggestions are welcome and of course, i’m doing some research (those who know me, understand) to see which vintage camera will suit my needs. Basically, just looking for something to have fun with! Another awesome thing about a vintage camera is…when it’s not being used for photography, it doubles as decor for the home 🙂
For the time being, i went ahead and purchased a Holga 144-120. Check it out…
My new toy...

Ok, so here’s one more photo before Friday’s deadline. This was taken on the lake behind my home, yesterday morning. There’s something so peaceful about living on the water and always something to photograph 🙂
In my own backyard...
Jimbo's - Virginia Key, Florida
You must visit “Jimbo’s” at some point, if you are ever visiting the Key Biscayne (Virginia Key) area. Ice cold beer, fresh smoked fish and tons of “stuff” to photograph, or just be in awe of.
This picture was taken on my last trip to Jimbo’s and it is my version of “round” for the Weekly Photo Challenge.
